The Hammond 1426Y-B is a cast aluminum system cabinet used to house and protect equipment. It features a split cover design that allows it to be used in upwards of 6 different configurations, including a choice between mounting doors directly on the front of the cabinet, or mounting them on the top of the cabinet. The 1426Y-B also features an integral cooling system, with louvers on the front, rear, and sides of the cabinet, to provide maximum air flow. The top cover and centered base are removable, allowing for easier installation and maintenance of whatever equipment the cabinet is housing. The cover has a universal leaf latch closure to ensure secure equipment storage, with a choice of three different finishes - black, grey, or off-white. The cabinet also has internal mounting panels for mounting either 19-inch rack-mountable equipment, or terminal/panel mounting.
