In this users manual, safety precautions are categorized in order of importance to Warning and Caution: Warning notices are used to emphasize that improper operation may cause Warning severe personal injury or death. Caution notices are used where inattention might cause personal injury or Caution damage to equipment. Warning 3 3 Turn power off to the MICRO before starting installation, removal, wiring, maintenance, and inspection on the MICRO . Failure to turn power off may cause electrical shocks or re hazard. 3 Special expertise is required to install, wire, program, and operate the MICRO . People without such expertise must not use 3 the MICRO . 3 Emergency and interlocking circuits must be congured outside the MICRO . If such a circuit is congured inside the 3 3 MICRO , failure of the MICRO may cause disorder of the control system, damage, or accidents. Caution 3 Install the MICRO according to instructions described in this users manual. Improper installation will result in falling, fail- 3 ure, or malfunction of the MICRO . 3 3 MICRO is designed for installation in equipment. Do not install the MICRO outside of equipment. 3 3 3 Install the MICRO in environments described in this users manual. If the MICRO is used in places where the MICRO is subjected to high-temperature, high-humidity, condensation, corrosive gases, excessive vibrations, and excessive shocks, then electrical shocks, re hazard, or malfunction will result. 3 3 The pollution degree of the MICRO is Pollution degree 2. Use the MICRO in environments of pollution degree 2 (accord- ing to IEC664-1). 3 All DC power type MICRO units are PS2 type (according to EN61131). 3 3 Prevent the MICRO from falling while moving or transporting the MICRO , otherwise damage or malfunction of the 3 MICRO will result. 3 3 Prevent metal fragments and pieces of wire from dropping inside the MICRO housing. Put a cover on the MICRO during installation and wiring. Ingress of such fragments and chips may cause re hazard, damage, or malfunction. Use a power supply of the rated value. Use of a wrong power supply may cause re hazard. Use wires of a proper size to meet voltage and current requirements. Tighten M3 terminal screws to a proper tightening torque of 0.3 to 0.5 N-m. 3 Use an IEC127-approved fuse on the power line outside the MICRO . This is required when exporting equipment containing 3 MICRO to Europe. 3 Use an IEC127-approved fuse on the output circuit. This is required when exporting equipment containing MICRO to Europe. 3 Use an EU-approved circuit breaker. This is required when exporting equipment containing MICRO to Europe. 3 3 Make sure of safety before starting and stopping the MICRO or when operating the MICRO to force outputs on or off. 3 Incorrect operation on the MICRO may cause machine damage or accidents. 3 If relays or transistors in the MICRO output circuit fail, outputs may remain on or off. For output signals which may cause 3 heavy accidents, provide a monitor circuit outside of the MICRO . 3 3 Do not connect to the ground directly from the MICRO . Connect a protective ground to the equipment containing MICRO 3 using an M4 or larger screw. This is required when exporting equipment containing MICRO to Europe. 3 Do not disassemble, repair, or modify the MICRO . 3 Dispose of the battery in the MICRO when the battery is dead in accordance with pertaining regulations. When storing or disposing of the battery, use a proper container prepared for this purpose. This is required when exporting equipment con- 3 taining MICRO to Europe. 3 When disposing of the MICRO , do so as an industrial waste.
