They feature an easy-to-read digital display for viewing the temperature and time, and have a long-lasting full-metal construction. 4. The 7981 series features an adjustable temperature range from 200 to 900°F (93 to 482°C). 5. The soldering tips are heater-controlled, meaning you can easily adjust the temperature for a variety of soldering jobs. 6. These irons are compatible with various solder varieties, from lead-free to rosin-based and flux-cored. 7. Additionally, the 7981 has a built-in sleep mode, which turns off after five minutes of inactivity. 8. With an ergonomic, lightweight design and comfortable grip, the 7981 is designed with professional use in mind.
