DBS1002 is a fully integrated switch-fabric chip that is part of the Knitter chip family from Marvell. It is a high-speed, low-power device that supports up to 2.5Gbps line rate data switching over up to 16 ports. It is competitively priced and supports features such as Quality of Service (QoS), traffic scheduling, VLANs, and multicast replication. It is also optimized for Layer 2 packet routing and bridging. The chip is targeted at 10/100 Mbps Ethernet manages switches and other similar products.
