Lindstrom is a small city located in Chisago County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 6,852 at the 2010 census. It is known as the “Gateway to the North Woods” due to its proximity to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW). The majority of Lindstrom’s population is employed in the nearby Twin Cities. The city also serves as a tourist destination with its numerous lakes and ATV/snowmobile trails.
The 8161 part of Lindstrom is located in its downtown area. This is a vibrant and walkable shopping district with locally owned restaurants, cafes, and specialty stores. The 8161 district was named for the main street of downtown Lindstrom and is a must-see when visiting the area.
