PMS-7-PLN LMB / Heeger

The PMS-7 pin-load network (PLN) is an 8-pin network programmed to control power supply noise and system over-voltage protection (OVP) to satisfy Intel's Processor Quick Start (PQS) requirements. PMS-7 is designed to protect processors from over-current and over-voltage conditions. It consists of two parts: a logic block and an analog block. The logic block is the microcontroller that determines the state of the system and communicates this to the analog block. The analog block is the network that uses resistors and capacitors to set the OVP and power supply noise levels. The LMB / Heeger PMS-7-PLN is a complete, high power solution for protecting your CPU from over-voltage surges. It features an integrated PQS controller with a maximum current rating of 7A, and is approved for use on many Intel processors. Its patent pending design includes the most advanced passive networks in the industry for optimized protection and thermal performance. The PMS-7-PLN also features a reversible time delay function and is compatible with all Intel processors that have PQS-capable power delivery.
