Additional Infomation About Product

/ Huxley model TB8-5-PLN is a five-parameter version of the Hodgkin-Huxley model proposed by Heeger et al. (1988). It is used to describe the ionic currents that go through the membrane of a neuron and thereby the action potential generated. The parameters of TB8-5-PLN describe the shape and size of the action potential including the amplitudes, the location of origin, the duration and the time to peak. Other parameters associated with this model include the reversed potentials, ionic conductances and the channel decay time constants. This model is suitable for exploring the response of neurons to various stimuli and also for investigating the changes in neuronal dynamics in different conditions.
