The SSA4850 is a MIDI-controlled relay from Kvant Electronics, designed for remote-controlled network systems. It is compatible with both DMX and MIDI, and is used for switching air-conditioning, lighting control systems, dimming systems, as well as other relay-controlled functions. The SSA4850 comprises of two normally open (NO) contact relays, each with a power rating of 0.5A/250VAC. It is a modular component that fits into the Kvant MEC Relay System, and is powered by a 24VDC power supply. The relay is equipped with two LEDs, one indicating power state, the other indicating which of the two contact relays are active. The relays are triggered by a wide selection of MIDI commands, such as Note On/Off, Program Change, All Notes Off, Midi Clock (timer) and Midi Bank Select.
