The LIN transceiver is suitable for LIN bus systems conform to LIN specification revision 2.x and SAE J2602. The watchdog times of the integrated window watchdog can be adapted on application needs via external resistors. With the help of an external bipolar transistor it is possible to extend the output current of the integrated voltage regulator. The combination of voltage regulator and bus transceiver as well as watchdog unit makes it possible to develop simple, but powerful and cheap slave nodes in LIN Bus systems.
