Mentor Graphics 1292.8001 is a software package used for creating, simulating, optimizing and managing electronic (IC) designs. It is part of Mentor’s IC-Design Suite, which includes tools for front-end design, back-end design, and more. The core of the package is a Design Rule-Checker (DRC) that helps to ensure quality of design and reduce problems associated with non-compliance with EDA standards. Additionally, the software includes tools for design floor-planning and synthesis, netlist extraction, auto-placement and routing, timing verification, and library modification and management.
