The 24C01C-E/ST is a 1k-bit Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory (EEPROM) from Microchip Technology. This device holds up to 1,024 bits of data in an 8-pin package. It is ideal for storing non-volatile information such as configuration data, mileage charts, and user selectable parameters. It supports the I2C (two wire) protocol and operates with both 5.0V and 3.3V Vcc supply voltages. The device features a low-power standby mode, write protect for the whole memory or for single bytes and a page write mode for up to 8 bytes. Data is protected against unauthorized write and erase operations by a hardware write protect pin.
