The MCP1012-V/EKA with AC/DC Converters Auxiliary Switching Controller is an integrated circuit manufactured by Microchip. It is used for controlling auxiliary switching functions, such as on/off control, soft-start, etc., in a wide range of AC/DC switching power converters. This device features an adjustable soft start timer, an adjustable off-time timer, an adjustable current-limit timer and an adjustable overcurrent protection circuit. This chip can also be used for various other power conversion and control applications requiring adjustable current-limit and over-current protection circuit features. It can be controlled via a number of interfaces, including On/Off Control Pins, PWM input, Voltage Input and Status Output. It has built-in temperature shutdown protection and undervoltage lockout functionality. It also features programmable overvoltage and undervoltage protection.
