TechnologyThe MIC5209-1.8YM is a high performance, low noise, 500mA, 1% low dropout (LDO) voltage regulator that is manufactured by Microchip Technology. The LDO regulator has an output voltage accuracy of +/- 1%, superior load and line regulation, and low-noise performance. It also has reverse current protection and short circuit protection. This regulator is suitable for powering noise-sensitive applications such as video, audio, and low-power microcontrollers. Additionally, it is lead free and compliant with European Directives and RoHS Directives. The MIC5209-1.8YM can operate up to 1MHz switching frequencies with minimal noise. It is available in the 8-pin MSOP package.
