SY88722V Micrel, Inc. 5V/3.3V 622Mbps LASER DIODE SY88722V DRIVER WITH OUTPUT ENABLE FEATURES DESCRIPTION Single 3.3V or 5V power supply The SY88722V is a high speed current switch for driving a semiconductor laser diode in optical transmission Up to 622Mbps operation applications. The modulation current (I ) is controlled by OUT Modulation current to 30mA the current (I ) through the external resistor R . The RSET SET PECL output enable output OUT is HIGH and no current flows through OUT Differential PECL inputs when output enable is HIGH. Available in a tiny 10-pin (3mm) MSOP The device incorporates complementary open collector outputs with a 30mA maximum current driving capability. The external resistor R must be placed between /OUT EXT and V to dissipate the worst case power. R is CC SER recommended to compensate for laser diode matching issues. Pins 9 and 10 should be connected to achieve better performance.
