The TC1232CPA is a low-voltage reset circuit designed and manufactured by Microchip. It is designed to help protect and reset power supplies, particularly those used in battery-powered devices such as phones, tablets, and other portable devices. The device uses an oscillator to monitor the voltage and will issue a reset signal when the voltage drops below the reset level or when the supply discharges too quickly. The reset signal will cause the power supply to switch off, allowing the device to be safely reset by a user. This device has an operating voltage range of 1.8 to 5.5V and requires just a single capacitor for operation.
