The TC1232EPA is a supervisor with an open drain or open collector 1 channel 8-PDIP (plastic dual inline package) manufactured by Microchip. It is designed to protect microcontrollers from power supply overvoltages, reduce system cost and protect other devices from short-circuit conditions. The supervisor can detect overvoltages of 5.5V, 6.0V, 8.0V, 10.0V, 12.0V, 13.8V, and 16.5V. It has built-in time delays, pushbutton reset or power-on reset, and an active low reset output. It can be employed in safety-critical devices and application without the need of external components.
