Networking
RG-59/U is a coaxial cable used in many networking applications. The RG-59/U designation is an older designation that is mostly being replaced by newer designations. It is composed of an insulated inner conductor surrounded by an insulating layer and a braided shield, which is surrounded by an outer jacket. It commonly is used in video applications such as CCTV, Cable TV, and Satellite, but can also be used in computer networking applications. RG-59/U offers a characteristic impedance of 75 ohms and can accommodate frequencies up to 1 GHz. It is available in a number of different configurations and can be used for both indoor and outdoor applications.
