HR1000 Resonant Half-Bridge Controller DESCRIPTION FEATURES The HR1000 is a controller designed specifically 50% Duty Cycle, Variable Frequency for the resonant half-bridge topology. It provides Control For Resonant Half-Bridge Converter two drive-signal channels that output 350ns Fixed Dead-Time complementary signals at a 50% duty cycle. An 600V High-Side Gate Driver with Integrated internal fixed dead-time of 350ns between the Bootstrap Diode and High dV/dt Immunity two complementary gate signals guarantees 1.5A/2A Source/Sink Capability for Both zero-voltage switching during the transient and High-Side and Low-Side Gate Drivers enables high-frequency operation. High-Accuracy Oscillator Operates at up to 600kHz The integrated bootstrap diode simplifies the Adjustable Maximum and Minimum external driving circuit for the high-side switch. It Switching Frequency can withstand up to 600V with immunity against high dV/dt noise. Two-Level Over-Current Protection: Frequency-Shift and Latched Shutdown with Modulating the switching frequency regulates the Programmable Duration Time topology output voltage. A programmable Remote ON/OFF Control and Brown-Out oscillator can set both the maximum and Protection through the BO Pin minimum switching frequencies . Latched-Disable Input for Easy Protections The IC starts up at the programmed maximum Implementation switching frequency and gradually slows until the Internal Thermal Shutdown control loop takes over to prevent excessive Interfaces with PFC Controller inrush current Programmable Burst-Mode Operation at Light-Load The IC can be forced to enter a controlled burst- Non-Linear Soft-Start for Monotonic Output mode operation at light-load to minimize the Voltage Rise power consumption and tighten output regulation. SO-16 package Protections featuresincluding latched shutdown, auto-recovery, brown-out protection, and over- APPLICATIONS temperature protectionimprove converter LCD and PDP TVs design safety without engendering additional Desktop PCs and Servers circuit complexity. Telecom SMPS The IC provide 1.5A/2A source/sink capability for AC-DC Adapter, Open-Frame SMPS both high-side and low-side gate drivers.
