MP2496 36V, 2.5A, Frequency-Selectable Step-Down Converter with Single USB Charging Port The Future of Analog IC Technology DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MP2496 integrates a monolithic, step-down, Wide 7V to 36V Operating Input Voltage switch-mode converter with a single USB Range current-limit switch and charging port Fixed 5V Output Voltage with Line Drop identification circuits. The MP2496 achieves Compensation 2.5A of continuous output current with excellent Accurate USB Output Current Limit load and line regulation over a wide input 40m/32m Low-R Internal Buck DS(ON) supply range. Power MOSFETs 24m Low-R Internal USB Power DS(ON) The output of the USB switch is current-limited. MOSFET The MP2496 provides a USB dedicated 350kHz / 250kHz / 150kHz Frequency charging port (DCP), which supports battery Selectable charging specification 1.2 (BC1.2), divider Programmable Line Drop Compensation mode, and 1.2V/1.2V mode, eliminating the need for outside user interaction.
