MP26124 24V Input, 2A, 600kHz, 4S Cell Switching Li-Ion Battery Charger DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MP26124 is a monolithic, DC/DC, step- Charge 4S Cell Li-Ion Battery Packs down, switching charger for 4-series cell Li-ion Up to 24V Operation Voltage battery packs. The MP26124 has an integrated Programmable Charging Current up to 2A high-side power MOSFET that can output a 0.75% V Accuracy BATT charge current up to 2A and also has peak- 0.2 Integrated Power MOSFET current-mode control for fast loop response and Up to 90% Efficiency easy compensation. Fixed 600kHz Frequency Preconditioning for Fully Depleted Batteries The MP26124 uses a sense resistor to control a programmable charge current and regulates the Charging Status Indicator charge current and charge voltage accurately Input Supply Fault Indicator using two control loops. Thermal Shutdown Cycle-by-Cycle Over-Current Protection The MP26124 has multiple fault condition (OCP) protections including cycle-by-cycle current Battery Temperature Monitor and Protection limiting and thermal shutdown. Other safety Available in a QFN-16 (4mmx4mm) features include battery temperature monitoring Package and protection, charge status indication, and a programmable timer to stop the charging cycle APPLICATIONS when the timer expires.
