MPQ7200 42V, 1.2A Buck-Boost or 3A Buck Synchronous LED Driver, AEC-Q100 Qualified DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MPQ7200 is a high-frequency, constant- Wide 6V to 42V Operating Input Voltage current, buck-boost LED driver with integrated Range power MOSFETs. It offers a very compact 44m/40m Low R Internal Power DS(ON) solution to achieve up to 1.2A of continuous MOSFETs output current, with excellent load and line High-Efficiency Synchronous Operation regulation across a wide input supply range. The Configurable 1.2A Buck-Boost Mode or 3A MPQ7200 can also be configured for buck mode Buck Mode to provide up to 3A of constant load current. Configurable LED Current without Sensing Resistor Constant frequency hysteretic control provides Default 2.3MHz Switching Frequency for extremely fast transient response without loop Buck Mode and 1.15MHz Switching compensation. The switching frequency can be Frequency for Buck-Boost Mode with fixed up to 2.3MHz in buck mode to reduce the Spread Spectrum current ripple and improve EMI. It can also be PWM Dimming (Dimming Frequency from configured to as low as 1.15MHz for optimized efficiency and thermal performance in buck- 100Hz to 2kHz) boost mode. Functionality The MPQ7200 requires a minimal number of Configurable Thermal Derating via NTC readily available, standard external components, Remote Temperature Sensing and is available in a space-saving QFN-19 EMI Reduction Technique (3mmx4mm) package.
