NB650A High-Effeciency, Fast-Transient, 6A, 28V Synchronous Step-Down Converters with 2-Bit VID DESCRIPTION FEATURES The NB650A is fully-integrated, high-frequency, Wide 4.5V-to-28V Operating Input Range synchronous, rectified, step-down, switch-mode 6A Output Current converters with dynamic-outputvoltage control. Internal 50m High-Side, 18m Low-Side It offers a very compact solution to achieve 6A Power MOSFETs of continuous output current over a wide input Proprietary Switching Loss Reduction supply range, and has excellent load and line Technique regulation. The NB650A operates at high 1% Reference Voltage efficiency over a wide output-currentload Programmable Soft-Start Time range. 2-bit VID Input Constant-On-Time control mode provides fast Soft Shutdown transient response and eases loop stabilization. Frequency Programmable from 150kHz to 1MHz 2-bit VID inputs support changing the output SCP, OCP, OVP, UVP, and Thermal voltage on-the-fly. Shutdown Full protection features include short-circuit Optional OCP Protection: Latch-Off Mode protection, over-current protection, over-voltage Output Adjustable from 0.6V to 13V protection, under-voltage protection, and Available in QFN17 (3mm4mm) Package thermal shut down. APPLICATIONS The NB650A requires a minimal number of Notebook Systems and I/O Power readily-available standard external components, Networking Systems and is available in a space-saving 3mm4mm QFN17 package.
