74HCT164PW.112 is a CMOS serial in/parallel out shift register consisting of 16 serially-linked flip-flops with complementary serial outputs (Q7(1)Q7 and Q7(2)Q7). It is an 8-bit register designed with advanced silicon-gate CMOS circuitry. It has an operating voltage range of 2V to 6V and a propagation delay time of 15ns. The outputs are open drain in order to allow for wired-AND and wired-OR applications. The input has Schmitt trigger action for improved noise immunity and glitch suppression. The device is rated -55 degrees Celsius to 125 degrees Celsius and is capable of 3.6 million cycles per second. This makes it suitable for use in high speed logic systems.
