E2SS-MC1 2M is part of Omron's suite of E2SS series sensors. This part is a two-meter long photoelectric sensor that offers reliable sensing capability and is compact in size for easy installation. This sensor utilizes Infrared (IR) technology to measure and detect the presence of objects from up to two meters away. The E2SS-MC1 2M has a wide range of applications including detecting the presence of an object and/or its position for assembly, manufacturing, and process automation. It is also great for speed and motion sensing applications. It has a high-resolution photocell and a wide-angle optics design with robust shielding to ensure reliable detection. The E2SS-MC1 2M also features a rugged construction and is IP67 rated, making it water and dust resistant.
