The CAT25640VI-G is a low power, low profile 256-position digital potentiometer developed by ON Semiconductor. It is suited for use in handheld and battery operated systems which require a high level of precision while consuming as little power as possible. It operates with a supply voltage of 2.7-5.5 V and a maximum power consumption of 2.2 mW. This digital potentiometer is available in a small, space-saving SSOP package, which is ideal for applications with limited PCB space. The CAT25640VI-G features an industry-standard SPI interface as well as an intuitive, single-wire On-The-Go (OTG) communications protocol. It is capable of 1 kO, 5 kO, and 10 kO resistance values with both linear and logarithmic scales. It is rated for a maximum temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
