The FAN6961 provides a controlled on-time Controlled On-Time PWM to regulate the output DC voltage and achieve natural power factor correction. The maximum on-time of the Zero-Current Detection external switch is programmable to ensure safe operation during AC brownouts. An innovative multi- Cycle-by-Cycle Current Limiting vector error amplifier is built in to provide rapid transient Leading-Edge Blanking instead of RC Filtering response and precise output voltage clamping. A built- in circuit disables the controller if the output feedback Low Startup Current: 10 A Typical loop is opened. The startup current is lower than 20 A Low Operating Current: 4.5 mA Typical and the operating current has been reduced to under Feedback Open-Loop Protection 6 mA. The supply voltage can be up to 25 V, maximizing application flexibility.
