Backlight Lamp Ballast and Soft Dimming The FAN7317B provides a low-cost solution and reduces Minimal Required External Components external components by integrating full wave rectifiers for Precision Voltage Reference Trimmed to 2% open-lamp protection and regulation (patent pending). ZVS Full-Bridge Topology The operating voltage range of the FAN7317B is wide, so an external regulator isnt necessary to supply the voltage Soft-Start to the IC. PWM Control at Fixed Frequency Burst Dimming Function The FAN7317B provides protections such as open-lamp regulation, open-lamp protection, and short-lamp Dynamic Contrast Ratio Function protection to increase the system reliability. The Programmable Striking Frequency FAN7317B provides a burst-dimming function and analog Open-Lamp Protection (OLP) dimming is possible, in a narrow range, by adding Open-Lamp Regulation (OLR) external components. Short-Lamp Protection (SLP) The FAN7317B is available in a 20-pin SOIC package.
