The FODM217A with Transistor Output Optocouplers 4 PIN TRANSISTOR OUTPUT MFP is an optical isolation device produced by ON Semiconductor. It is used to electrically isolate signals between two circuits. This device is a 4 pin DIP package with emitter, collector, and 2 output pins to enable the signal transfer. It is designed to operate between 4.5 to 5.5V, and the output transistor has a maximum collector-emitter voltage of 30V. The maximum output current is also limited to 0.2A. The optocoupler allows any logic signal to be electrically isolated from the driving circuit, with a minimum transfer impedance of 500 Ohms. The power dissipation of this optocoupler is 500 mW, and the storage temperature should not exceed 85°C.
