The FSUSB42UMX is a USB switch IC manufactured by ON Semiconductor. This IC is designed to provide two high-speed ports with 480Mbps USB 2.0 speed to enable the sharing of USB peripherals between two different hosts. The switch IC is designed to provide a very low latency design with an ultra-low power consumption over the USB bus, allowing devices to easily transition between host devices. The IC includes over-current protection and output signal switching for switching between host devices while maintaining signal integrity. Additionally, the FSUSB42UMX offers autobauding support and hot-plug capabilities for easy setup and reliable operation. The switch is also design compliant with the USB standard and has data-transfer speeds up to 480 Mbps.
