NCP1075A/B, NCP1076A/B, NCP1077A/B, NCP1079A/B Enhanced Off-line Switcher for Robust and Highly Efficient Power Supplies www.onsemi.com The NCP107xuz products integrate a fixed frequency current mode controller with a 700 V MOSFET. Available in a two different pinout of the very common PDIP7 package, the NCP107xuz offers a high MARKING DIAGRAMS level of integration, including softstart, frequencyjittering, shortcircuit protection, skipcycle, a maximum peak current setpoint, ramp compensation, and a dynamic selfsupply (DSS, P107xPuzy PDIP7 eliminating the need for an auxiliary winding). AWL (PDIP8 LESS PIN 6) Unlike other monolithic solutions, the NCP107xuz is quiet by YYWWG CASE 626A nature: during nominal load operation, the part switches at one of the available frequencies (65, 100 or 130 kHz). When the output power demand diminishes, the IC automatically enters frequency foldback mode and provides excellent efficiency at light loads. When the power P107xPuzy demand reduces further, it enters into a skip mode to reduce the AWL PDIP7 YYWWG standby consumption down to a no load condition. (PDIP8 LESS PIN 3) Protection features include: a timer to detect an overload or a CASE 626AS shortcircuit event, Overvoltage Protection with autorecovery. Ac x = Power Version (5, 6, 7, 9) input line voltage detection prevents lethal runaway in low input u = Pin Connections (A, B) voltage conditions (Brownout) as well as too high an input line (Ac z = 2nd level OCP enabled/disabled (A, B) line Overvoltage Protection). This also allows an Overpower y = Oscillator Frequency 65, 100, 130 (A, B, C) A = Assembly Location Protection to compensate all internal delays in high input voltage WL = Wafer Lot conditions and optimize the maximum output current capability. Y, YY = Year For improved standby performance, the connection of an auxiliary W, WW = Work Week winding stops the DSS operation and helps to reduce input power G = PbFree Package consumption below 50 mW at high line.
