NCP81247 Dual Output 4 & 2 Phase Controller with SVID Interface for Desktop and Notebook CPU Applications www.onsemi.com The NCP81247 dual output four plus two phase buck solution is optimized for Intels IMVP8 CPUs. The controller combines true differential voltage sensing, differential inductor DCR current MARKING sensing, input voltage feedforward, and adaptive voltage positioning DIAGRAM to provide accurately regulated power for notebook applications. The control system is based on DualEdge pulsewidth modulation 1 52 (PWM) combined with DCR current sensing providing an ultra fast NCP81247 AWLYYWWG initial response to dynamic load events and reduced system cost. The QFN52 MN SUFFIX NCP81247 provides the mechanism to shed phases during light load CASE 485BE operation and can auto frequency scale in light load conditions while maintaining excellent transient performance. NCP81247 = Specific Device Code Dual high performance operational error amplifiers are provided to A = Assembly Location WL = Wafer Lot simplify compensation of the complete system. Patented Dynamic YY = Year Reference Injection further simplifies loop compensation by WW = Work Week eliminating the need to compromise between closedloop transient G = PbFree Package response and Dynamic VID performance. Patented Total Current Summing provides highly accurate current monitoring for droop and digital current monitoring.
