The GLV18-55/59/102/159 series from Pepperl & Fuchs is a range of self-contained safety light curtains providing protection against access to hazardous areas and machines. They are suitable for use in areas where operators have limited access, such as robotic and automated systems, and can ensure personnel safety. The curtains consist of four different models, the GLV18-55, GLV18-59, GLV18-102, and GLV18-159. The model number denotes the active number of beams, ranging from 18 to 159. Each model provides a guard opening height of 115mm to 1,170mm with a response time of less than 0.5ms, and features a range of adjustable parameters. Fitted with an easy-to-use set of buttons, the light curtains also offer a wide variety of functions, from basic shut-off and optional external control to safety clock and muting. In addition, all models are IP65-rated and equipped with a red and green status display.
