The QTRX-HD-15A Reflectance Sensor Array from Pololu Robotics and Electronics is a high-precision, long-range digital optical sensor designed for edge detection and line-following applications. The array consists of 15 sensors mounted in a line, arranged in a row. Each sensor features a narrow-beam emitter, paired with a wide-angle receiver that is sensitive to both infrared and visible light, providing precise measurements even in a noisy environment. The excellent optical characteristics of the array enable users to reliably detect and follow lines down to 0.2-inch (5mm) thick, while providing precise readings over a long range. The array also features a built-in analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with an adjustable sampling rate of up to 5kHz, allowing higher resolution data from slow-speed applications. In addition, the array is easy to install, featuring three mounting holes for secure attachment to a mounting plate.
