The PUOLOP 78L12 is a linear voltage regulator in an SOT-89 package. It is compliant with RoHS regulations and is a fixed 3 terminal positive voltage regulator. It outputs a steady 12V voltage, and can provide up to 100mA of current. The 78L12 has a wide operating input voltage range of 2V to 18 volts and internally compensates for the output voltage ripple. It also has a over current protection circuit that limits the output current up to around 2A. The 78L12 has a low dropout voltage of 1.2V and is typically used in audio amplifiers and battery-powered devices.
