70-2-2 is a core component of Raytheon’s learning philosophy, which emphasizes striving for continuous learning. Under the 70-2-2 model, employees are encouraged to dedicate 70% of their learning time to on-the-job training, 20% to mediated learning (such as classroom instruction, e-learning modules and webinars), and 10% to self-directed learning (books, research, and other informal learning activities).
