The CD4046BF/3A-PKR is a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) and phase-locked-loop (PLL) circuit from RCA. It is capable of generating both high frequency and low frequency signals. This device is designed for applications like frequency synthesis, clock and data recovery, FM demodulation, phase-lock synchronization, and frequency division. It consists of an oscillator core, an edge-triggered toggle flip-flop, four analog control inputs, and output control circuitry. It also includes an internal voltage regulation circuit to ensure excellent frequency stability. The outputs are open-collector current sinks, allowing for operation at both logic 0 and logic 1 levels.
