ElectronicsThe ISL1221IUZ with Real Time Clock (RTC) is a low-power CMOS Real-Time Clock (RTC) device manufactured by Renesas Electronics. It includes a programmable timebase, a rechargeable backup battery input, an integrated oscillator and various time-stamping functions. The RTC core operates from a 32.768 kHz clock source and has an accuracy of ±1% over the full operating temperature range. The ISL1221IUZ has multiple timekeeping formats including binary and BCD options, and provides Hours, Minutes, Seconds and Days data outputs. The device also includes several advanced features such as automatic correction for leap-year, a periodic interrupt output for alarm function and power fail detect/reset function. In addition, the ISL1221IUZ offers an extended temperature range of -40 to 85°C.
