RT2857B 6A, 18V, Synchronous Step-Down Converter General Description Features Low R Power MOSFET Switches 26m/19m DS(ON) The RT2857B is a high efficiency, monolithic synchronous Input Voltage Range : 4.5V to 18V step-down DC/DC converter that can deliver up to 6A output Adjustable Switching Frequency : 200kHz to 1.6MHz current from a 4.5V to 18V input supply. The RT2857B Current-Mode Control current-mode architecture with external compensation Synchronous to External Clock : 200kHz to 1.6MHz allows the transient response to be optimized over a wide Accurate Voltage Reference 0.6V 1%, Over 40C range of loads and output capacitors. Cycle-by-cycle to 85C current limit provides protection against shorted outputs Monotonic Start-Up into Pre-biased Outputs and soft-start eliminates input current surge during start- Adjustable Soft-Start up. Fault condition protections include output under-voltage Power Good Indicator protection, output over-voltage protection, and over- Selectable Hiccup Mode and Latch-Off Mode temperature protection. The low current shutdown mode Under-Voltage Protection provides output disconnection, enabling easy power Over-Temperature and Over-Voltage Protection management in battery-powered systems.
