The BD42540FJ-CE2 is a low dropout (LDO) regulator manufactured by ROHM and is available in an 8-pin SOP-J8 package. It is a three terminal positive regulator that has a wide operating input voltage range of 3-42V, making it suitable for both industrial and automotive applications. The regulator has a fixed output voltage of 5V, and nominal output current of 12A. It also features over-current protection, under-voltage lockout, and over-temperature protection. Additionally, it is equipped with three supervisory circuits for reset, power-on reset and power-good signaling. These features make the BD42540FJ-CE2 an ideal choice for use in battery powered systems and other high current applications.
