Saft's LS17500 is a Lithium-Sulfur Dioxide (Li-SO2) cell designed for application in professional electronics, including CDMA/GSM cellular phones, PDAs, two-way radios and other telecommunication transmissions. It is a high performance, long life PRIMARY battery. This rechargeable battery offers a key combination of long service life and high energy density to meet the needs of modern power intensive portable electronic devices. The LS17500 offers >100Wh/kg energy density, superior reliability in battery management systems, 10 year storage life, and eight possible operating temperature ranges between -60 and +85ºC. The LS17500 is designed with both environmental and safety concerns in mind. It features a design that is much less toxic than other lithium batteries, and a pressure relief valve for increased safety.
