SKKT 15/14E is a semipack thyristor module from Semikron, rated for 1.4KV, 15A with an A1 gate triggering scheme. The device has a peak non-repetitive current (Ifsm) rating of 320A and is suitable for use in power supplies, soft starters, and motor control applications.The module has an integrated gate control, positive temperature coefficient (PTC) thermistor, and SNUBBER circuit. Its compact design offers short circuit current performance that is comparable to that of a discrete thyristor, while providing the operation reliability and mechanical integration of a module. Furthermore, the device has a built-in protective coating which increases its resistance to vibration and shock.
