The SEPA Fast Giro 92 (FG92) system is a payment scheme developed by the European Payments Council (EPC). It is an electronic payment instrument used for high-value, time-sensitive payments between banks within the SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) area. FG92 enables the transfer of payments from one EPC member bank to another within the SEPA area without the need for a clearing house or correspondent bank. It is designed for payments where a fast confirmation of the successful transfer is important, for example in cross-border payments. Payments made using FG92 are typically settled in real-time, which means that the confirmation of the successful transfer is immediate.
