The Sharp GP1S196HCPSF is an Optical Switches Transmissive Phototransistor Output Photointerrupter. It is a small, reliable, and compact photointerrupter that uses transmitted light to detect the presence of an object and switch on a circuit. It consists of an emitter light source and a receiver mounted in a photosensitive plastic case. The emitter uses infrared light to detect the presence of an object, and the receiver responds with an output signal. It has a wide supply voltage range of 3.3V to 40V and a wide operating temperature range of -30°C to 100°C. The GP1S196HCPSF can be used in a wide variety of applications such as position sensing, home appliances, switching, industrial machinery, medical, and automotive.
