The GBJ1008 is a type of high-performance, medium power of Schottky rectifier that is used in automotive, communications, and industrial applications. It features fast switching, low forward voltage drop, and low power loss. The Schottky rectifier has three terminals, an anode for current entry, a cathode for current exit, and the gate terminal for controlling the voltage potentials across the two electrodes. The GBJ1008 is available in a TO-220 package and supports average forward current ratings up to 8A and peak forward current ratings up to 16A. It has a high temperature rating of 150 degrees Celsius and an electrical lifetime of up to 10,000 hours.
