INETICSThe SIT485CUA is an MSOP-8 RoHS (Reduction of Hazardous Substances) compliant integrated circuit (IC) manufactured by SITINETICS, specifically designed for RS-485/RS-422 operations. It provides adequate signal level conversion from single-ended to differential level signals, and vice versa. It is also designed for operation with high speed data rates up to 10 Mbps. Other features of this chip include support for baud rates up to 1 Mbps, an industry standard 8-bit internal shift register, and programmable FIFO buffers for both transmit and receive data. This chip is suitable for both half-duplex and full-duplex modes of operation for bi-directional communication. The SIT485CUA also features temperature and voltage range capabilities from –40C to +125C and 2.25V to 3.75V respectively.
