AHP250W-47RF is part of the SR Passives range of high power resistors manufactured by Vishay. It is a wirewound resistor with a large power rating of 250 watts. The resistor has a 0.47 ohm resistance and comes in a round, metal-cased package. This package provides excellent heat dissipation and offers a long service life. The resistor is designed for use in high-power applications such as motor control, power supplies, and other high-voltage/high-current circuitry. It can also be used in intermediate circuits for voltage dropping and current management. The resistor has a threaded mounting for easy installation in tight spaces and the resistance tolerance of this part is 3%.
