The GTO-0.47U/1600 SR Passive is a surge arrestor rated for use on a single lightning protection circuit. It is a surge protection device that provides an effective, reliable and cost-effective solution to minimize the risk of damage from lightning-induced surge voltages. The GTO-0.47U/1600 is designed to protect components and wiring against transient voltages and surges in communications, control, signaling and process equipment installed indoors or outdoors. The arrestor features fast-acting silicon carbide MOVs which quickly stop current flow through the protected line. An internal open-circuit-voltage-limiting device prevents surge travel to higher level circuits. The arrestor also features a durable stainless steel enclosure for extra durability and performance in harsh conditions. A wide mounting flange is included for installation flexibility.
