Additional Infomation About Product

The L6563 is a step-up DC/DC controller with Power Factor Correction (PFC) from STMicroelectronics designed specifically to control Power Factor Correction (PFC) applications such as switch mode power supplies. The device provides high performance, reliable operation with an integrated fault detection and protection circuitry, digital soft-start, low-cost sense resistor line voltage feed-forward, and a precise single-ended current mode control loop. The device is designed to operate in both Discontinuous Conduction Mode (DCM) and Continuous Conduction Mode (CCM) depending on the application. It is capable of achieving high efficiency, up to 98%, across a wide range of line and loading conditions with its built-in line compensation algorithm. The L6563 is available in the plastic SO-20L package and is qualified according to AEC-Q100.
