The L7986TATR with Switching Voltage Regulators 3A Step-Down Reg 4.5 to 38V 250 KHz manufactured by STMicroelectronics is a step-down voltage regulator featuring a wide range of adjustment and flexibility. It offers 3A of steady state current, while its 250kHz fixed frequency pulse-width modulation (PWM) control and high efficiency enables a small, lightweight design. It also has integrated over-current protection, thermal-shutdown protection, and short circuit protection to reliably protect against overcurrents. Additionally, it has built-in undervoltage protection, enable pin functions as well as burst/PFM modes for higher efficiency at light loads. The L7986TATR Switching Voltage Regulator is suitable for battery-operated equipment such as cell phones, PDAs and portable media players, among others.
