It offers 3A of steady state current, while its 250kHz fixed frequency pulse-width modulation (PWM) control and high efficiency enables a small, lightweight design. It also has integrated over-current protection, thermal-shutdown protection, and short circuit protection to reliably protect against overcurrents. Additionally, it has built-in undervoltage protection, enable pin functions as well as burst/PFM modes for higher efficiency at light loads.
