LPS33HW MEMS pressure sensor: 260-1260 hPa absolute digital output barometer with water-resistant package Datasheet - production data Applications Wearable devices Altimeters and barometers for portable devices GPS applications Weather station equipment Description The LPS33HW is an ultra-compact piezoresistive pressure sensor which functions as a digital output barometer. The device comprises a Features sensing element and an IC interface which 2 communicates through I C or SPI from the Pressure sensor with water-resistant package sensing element to the application. 260 to 1260 hPa absolute pressure range The sensing element, which detects absolute Current consumption down to 3 A pressure, consists of a suspended membrane High overpressure capability: 20x full scale manufactured using a dedicated process developed by ST. Embedded temperature compensation 24-bit pressure data output The LPS33HW is available in a ceramic LGA package with metal lid. It is guaranteed to operate 16-bit temperature data output over a temperature range extending from -40 C ODR from 1 Hz to 75 Hz to +85 C. The package is holed to allow external SPI and IC interfaces pressure to reach the sensing element. Gel inside the IC protects the electrical components from Embedded FIFO water.
